Female Doctors in Point Cook
Some patients simply feel more at ease talking with a woman, whether the visit is about cervical screening, contraception, pregnancy or something they have never raised with anyone. If you would like to see a female doctor in Point Cook, our clinic has several female GPs. Let reception know your preference when you book.

Common questions
What if I need more time with the doctor?
Tell reception when you book. If you feel you may need extra time, the clinic asks you to say so, so a longer appointment can be arranged.
Can I request a female doctor for my daughter?
Yes. Mention it when you make the booking, just as you would for yourself.
Is seeing a female GP bulk billed?
Yes, on the same terms as any GP: standard consultations are bulk billed with a valid Medicare card, and procedures attract fees listed on Patient Info and Fees.
Can I have a phone appointment with a female GP?
Phone consultations are available for issues that do not need an examination. The doctor calls during the day rather than at a set time, and you need at least one face-to-face visit a year to stay eligible.
Do female GPs here insert IUDs and Implanon?
Several list these procedures in their profiles: Dr Nasibeh Hasanijabali for IUDs, Dr Maria Sahira for Implanon, and Dr Shumaila Yasmeen for both. Procedures attract a fee, so check the cost when you book.
